As many of you know, Ford Fiesta recently held a contest, the Fiesta Movement to drive one of their 2011 Ford Fiesta cars. Justin.tv had announced this contest informing the community that one hundred people will be selected as agents to drive (all expenses paid) for six months, to include free insurance, maintenance and gas.

Among many of our members (both viewers and broadcasters) within the Justin.tv community, our talented, independent filmmaker Mooncricket submitted his entry with the same dream as thousands of others of winning and becoming an agent for this venture. He noticed that other entrants were using actual Ford vehicles to submit their entries. Not having this luxury, Mooncricket decided to resort to what he does best ... using his creativity and filmmaking skills to make his video submission for this contest. First Mooncricket prepared a script to be used for this video. Then, (determined as he was) staying up all hours, Mooncricket cut out the shape of a Ford Fiesta from a cardboard box and painted it green. This would be used as a prop for his video.

Along with three cameras mounted to a beaten down 90's Grand AM, some footage from his documentary, the BBOY Connection, his homemade green cardboard Ford Fiesta prop for his outside scenes, a good friend and an actual passerby for some delightful humor, the video was made .. now that's what I call creative! Check out his video: Mooncricket's Ford Fiesta Video, and in his Ford Fiesta movement page.

He then submitted (like thousands of others) his application and video to the Fiesta Movement to be one of the first in the nation to drive and experience the Ford Fiesta, thereby being part of this exciting venture. Mooncricket told me he showed the "graffiti style" on the car to make Ford aware that he feels confident he can successfully market the Ford Fiesta to the Hip Hop culture and to those who are Scion & Honda sporty style fans.

On Monday,March 30th, Mooncricket was feeling stressed about completing a new trailer for his documentary movie when he received a telephone call from Ford saying, "Congratulations, you've been chosen." Not expecting this call, he was shocked.

Mooncricket told me, he owned many a car but they always gave him problems. He wanted a Ford Focus as the gas savings was great, however personal circumstances didn't warrant this, so he settled for a Chevrolet Cavalier. Unfortunately, after continuously sinking money into fixing this "lemon of a deal" he finally gave it up after having a breakdown while mobile broadcasting on Justin.tv in 2007. Thereafter, Mooncricket resorted to riding his bicycle or public transportation to get to work which viewers see in many of his broadcasts on Justin.tv.

However, Monday was a new day for Mooncricket and he's now more motivated than ever. According to Moon, "With God in my life, all things are possible." Congratulations Mooncricket. This is truly well deserved. We look forward to seeing you broadcast on Justin.tv in your new Ford Fiesta.
